Gary Nurenberg,Esq is a Washington, DC based Television Correspondent and co creator of the Sawabini & Associates LLC News Media Training Classes.
In August and September he will be teaching 4 classes for the RCTA.
A native of Lyndonville, Vermont, Gary is an graduate of American University. We first met when Gary joined the staff at WCAX TV in Burlington, Vermont where I was a general assignment reporter. Gary’s outstanding work earned him a promotion to state capitol reporter. Soon he was anchoring the weekend newscasts all the while going to law school. He is a member of the Bar in Washington, DC and Vermont.
WHEC-TV in Rochester, New York was impressed by his reporting and anchoring skills and offered him a job. From Rochester, Gary moved to Washington DC to cover politics including the White House. His work has won national journalism awards. In January of 2017, at the request of the Regional Counterdrug Training Academy, Gary and I began developing a 3-day News Media Class for Law Enforcement. The course has generated enthusiastic reviews. We will be teaching the class at two locations in August: The Roswell Police Department near Atlanta, Georgia and at the Birmingham Police Department in Alabama.
In September, Gary will be joined by Joe Paglia for two classes. Joe is a former radio and TV reporter in Rochester New York. He has also managed Media Relations at several divisions at Kodak. In addition Joe has been the Public Information Officer for a Rochester area college. His work as an instructor has won outstanding reviews from members of the Command Staff at the New Orleans Police Department.
Joe & Gary will team up to teach classes at the Memphis Police Academy and at the Kenner, Louisiana Police Department.
